It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Putting up the tree

We spent some time last night as a family decorating our Christmas tree. Over the last several years I have been collecting old glass balls they used to make years ago. They are called Shiny Bright Oranaments. Your grandma probably have them or did at one time. We haven't counted but I think I have over 250 of them. I have gathered them from garage sales, goodwill, estate sales and gifts I have been given. I love them:)

Pretty Trees

The Trees on our drive were amazing. The farther we got away from Granger, the less snow we saw!

First Big Snowfall

Friday morning we woke up to a beautiful blaket of snow on the ground. The boys were dying to play in it but we headed up to Chicago to spend some time with Jason and Karla.

So much to be thankful for!

The boys read scripture before prayer.
Everyone seemed to enjoy themselves.

Thanksgiving dinner

Well, it was a success! The garage turned out great thanks to the help of my sweet hubby. It was nice and warm and cozy. He even borrowed a projector and had the games on to watch after dinner of course.

Sob Story

Well, I have no inspiring pictures to post or time for that matter to take any! Our last week has been a busy one and it isn't going to get any better for the next coulple ahead! Tis the season?? I was involved in a wedding over the weekend, decorating and helping in any way I could. It was a beautiful day and all ended well. Saturday night our Adult Bible Fellowship class served at the local Faith Mission. That is always a joy, especially around Thanksgiving. We have so much to be thankful for...don't we? Sunday was of course filled with church and choir practice for our upcoming Christmas production "Let There Be Light" Dec. 7-8 at 7:00pm. If you are nearby, please come and bring an unsaved neighbor or friend. The Gospel will be clearly presented. We have several neighbors invited and are praying they will come. Then of course this week is filled with getting ready for both sides of our family to come for Thanksgiving dinner. Scott and I spent yesterday cleaning out our garage. We plan to host dinner out there with tables, chairs and kerosene heaters! Then on Friday we head to Chicago to visit my sister, Karla, and do some shopping and sight seeing. So needless to say, I probably won't do much posting. But I will try! Especially once I get my tablescapes done! Thanks to many of you who gave me great ideas! In our ABF class Scott is teaching on the book of Titus. This week we studied verses 11-12. For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men. It teaches us to say "No" to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age. Wow! do I need that reminder everyday! I need God's grace to accomplish those things. Have a blessed week!

Goofy kid

Here is Davis after a blue Popsicle:)
Davis got a hair cut yesterday and screamed the whole time. He kept yelling "it urts it urts" . I reassured him it didn't "hurt". Once I started I had to finish, so he cried for a good 10 minutes. But he survived and is here showing you his hair cut. It makes him look older!

Weekend Get Away!

Did you miss me? Did you even know I was gone? Scott and I were able to get away for a long weekend Thurs. through Sat. evening. Thanks to family and friends, the boys had a fun weekend also! My brother's wife is from a small town west of Indy. Her parents (Ray and Judy) built a cabin on their property last year. It is very beautiful and rustic. A real treat to stay in. We watched movies (on a huge flat screen), went shopping, ate out and in, soaked in the hot tub and slept in till 9:00! To top off our time there, we butchered a hog on Saturday (Ray is a hog farmer). What....that doesn't sound fun? You can't say that until you've tried it!

Craft Time

Today was a craft day! I picked up these cheap little ceramic animals and the boys enjoyed painting them. Even Davis did one! Until he decided to try to taste the paint!!!

Jack is here for 4 days (between here and my moms) for Karla and Jason to have a relaxing weekend at home. He and Davis were eating cereal this morning and Davis thought he should "help". They are so cute together.

Here are the zoo animals wild in Elkhart! Here we have Davis the Giraffe, Braylon the Zebra and Alden the cow. Of course they wouldn't turn and all look at me at the same time:)

Well in all the fun, I forgot to take a picture of the 5 boys together! Here is Davis the Giraffe, Hudson as a star wars Character, Owen as spider man, Chapman as a happy hobo and Reis as an "elderly" lady. (Yes that is his real hair, curled and teased! you gotta click on that one to get a better look!) It was a fun night. We ventured around our neighborhood then went over to Brandon and Ashlee's house and did some more. Hudson counted his and had over 200 pieces of candy! Yum!
