Annual Tradition

The journey began...

After hours of searching for the perfect tree...we found it! It was minutes but felt like longer...

Last year we started an annual tradition of going to a tree farm and cutting down our Christmas tree for the year. It worked out this year to go with my side of the family. So everyone met at a tree farm about an hour away and it was so worth it! Of course the weather was beautiful. Close to 60 and sunny. Can't beat that! We had a great day and found a tree that everyone agreed on! That was the fun part...

We also took a picture of each of the boys in front of this. We plan to go here every year from now on and they'll be able to see how much they grow each time.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Scott and I hosted Thanksgiving for his side of the family. All 20 of them, my mom, dad and Grandma came for an incredibly delicious dinner (I delegated most of the food:). Scott's brother 'deep fried' our turkey which was interesting but tasty.

We had a fun time eating, playing games and sharing

how God has blessed us over the past year.

God has been abundantly gracious to our family and we are so thankful.

Needless to say, I was busy and didn't take the time to take many pictures. Here is a great one of the boys and Great Grandma Craiger.

A Very Big Day!

Some of the families from our homeschool group participated in a soccer class for the last 7 weeks. The boys looked forward each week to going. The coach was so wonderful and patient. He even included the little guys. They each got a trophy this week. Davis said " mom, this is my very first trophy in my life!"

A quick trip

Scott and I had the opportunity to go to Tennessee this week for a couple of days. We met my parents and my brother's family there for a celebration dinner. SCORE International ( my parents' mission agency) was celebrating 25 years of ministry. It was neat to see all that God has done over the years. It was also neat because my parents were given an award for their faithful service with SCORE. We were grateful we were able to be there for that. Our first night we stayed with some friends' of my parents that they know and love. We quickly embraced them as 'new' freinds as well! They have a gorgeous home and property in Franklin outside of Nashville. We had fun roaming around and snapping some fun pictures.

Having fun with the timer on my camera:) We are sitting on a wall built by the soldiers of the civil war. We learned that the battle of Franklin was considered the bloodiest war ever. The wall was along the back of their property. So much history! Braylon had fun feeding the donkeys.

Halloween 09

This year we spent Halloween with our friends Jeff and Ade. The kids all had a ball running from house to house and trying to keep warm!

We had a great time this year coming up with their costumes. Davis of course was Batman...Owen was a secret agent...Chapman was Robinhood...Hudson was a paintballer...and Reis was....a lamp. They all turned out pretty well for using stuff we had around the house. I've never really been into buying costumes. Especially 5!

He actually used Scott's head lamp but you can't see it in this picture.

It looked great in the dark!

It was fun to see Chapman's costume come together. We cut off the sleeves of an old suede shirt, he used a big belt of mine and my boots. We made a hat out of a paper bag and he found a peocock feather in our backyard to stick in. Wah...la!

Davis wears this often around our house:) Owen dressed up in a suit and used Scott's ear piece from his phone.

All in all it was a fun night.
