Some before and afters...

Several weeks ago, I was able to paint our living and dining room. Above is the before. It was a dark chocolate brown and cranberry red. The color I chose was a vintage beige. I haven't had beige since our apartment days! But I knew a light bright color was needed to expand the size and not compete with the colors going on in the huge picture windows.

Here is our dining room. It was red and you gotta love that door! The boys said I should keep it for Christmas coming up. I like how the door turned out by painting it black.

More to come! Our addition is now framed and right now we are doing plumbing, and heating and cooling. Anxious to sleep in our new bedroom!

Football

Reis decided to play football this year. He's so glad he did, he's loving it.

He's doing pretty well and even has a starting position. Its been fun to go to games decked

out in our red Plymouth gear.

It's very strange having a child as tall as myself (5'9"), bigger size foot than Scott (size 10) and a voice that sounds like a man. Very strange...

Family Time

My family was all together this past weekend. Brandon and Ashlee and their two boys are home from the D.R. for a month. The boys all had a ball playing together. Brandon and Ashlee announced that they are expecting and guess what???? It's a boy! Craigers don't know how to make anything else I guess. He'll fit right in, that's for sure.

The Blueberry Festival

This weekend we experienced "The Blueberry" as it is referred to here in Plymouth. This annual festival is quite the event. It is said that 1/2 million people pass through the small town of Plymouth during the Labor Day weekend. There are carnival rides, craft booths, food of any kind, games, tournaments...and so much more. The schools here in Plymouth take off the Friday before the weekend, which my boys were pumped about!

It was a beautiful weekend with lots of sunshine and not a lot of heat.

On Monday we attended the parade that strolls down Michigan St. About 100+ of our church family gathered in a family's front yard (also from our church). We ate breakfast and enjoyed the parade together. It was very surreal. I felt kinda like we were in a movie about 'small town America'!! My boys are already talking about next year!

Memories

My cousin Pam came for a visit a few weeks ago. We always have so much fun when she is here. She is known for bringing special gifts. This time, she brought the boys each a pair of cowboy boots from Texas, where she lives. The 4 boys had a blast trucking around in their new boots, getting dirty on our dirt pile from the construction going on at our house.

We also spent a day in Chicago at the zoo with Karla, my sister, and Jack.

Pam has a really cool camera that I steal from time to time when she is here. The fog looked really neat one morning and I took this with her camera.
