13 Years

This week we celebrated our 13th wedding anniversary. In a very busy week we managed to meet for lunch and laughed at where we have been and look forward to our lifetime together!

Welcome!

This is the second time now (2nd house) we have patiently waited to have the $$ to buy a new storm door for our front. It is just as exciting the 2nd time around:) I love, first thing in the morning, to open it and let the sun shine in. It brightens the house up so much. I am also so thankful for such a "handy" husband. MANY pastors I know have only "Bible Hands" (as my aunt calls it) but not mine! Even on Father's day he spent his time for me to get this put in. Thank you honey! You are such a wonderful husband, father and man of God.

Jr. Camp

If you have been wondering where I have been??? (or not) I am at Twin Lakes Camp with the family. Scott brought down 34 campers from our church and he is the camp speaker for the week. I am busy doing a blog for the parents of our campers we brought from Elkhart. Feel free to check out what we have been busy doing! Having fun!

I have had gracious friends who have shared their perennial gardens with me. I am loving gardening and am anxious to see how "everyone" does:) Here are some pictures of what I've been up to! Beautiful Peony

Concert with the Cripes

YOU WILL NEED TO PAUSE THE MUSIC AT THE BOTTOM OF THE PAGE!!
Scott's mom has been wanting to get us to a Gaither concert. They are BIG fans and we love music, so she knew we would enjoy it. They sent us with our good friends Greg and Tammy Cripe up to Grand Rapids. Here is one song they sang that I loved. The words are very powerful. Hope you enjoy!Ernie Haase & SSQ + Gaither Vocal Band - I Then Shall Live

Day 8-11

We arrived at the Resort in Williamsburg Virginia on Friday and had fun scoping out the place. It had a great indoor pool that we used a lot, due to all the rain. Here we are on Mother's day. We visited a local church that was very friendly and worshipful. The boys (and Scott) sent me to the Spa to have a facial and massage. It was VERY nice. I could get used to that:)
This was probably my favorite place of all. It is the town of Yorktown. One of the early settlements. We had fun playing on the beach of the James River and visting the quaint little shops along the water. I loved the Colonial homes over looking the water.

Read maps, pay tolls and walked streets

Day 8

Our second day in DC, we had an appointment with our state representative's office. His secretary gave us a tour down through the underground tunnel that leads up into the capital building. It was pretty neat. Here is a picture of the inside of the ceiling of the Rotunda. Very Beautiful. Our tour guide had only worked there 2 months but was very knowledgable. She gave us a 2 hour history lesson!
