Yesterday Owen lost his first tooth! We have a family tradition that someone (usually Scott) dresses up in my wedding dress and delivers the dollar bill as the tooth fairy. It is always a fun time with lots of laughs.

Randomness
First of all we woke up to snow dusting our yard this morning. The sky was gorgeous but as the saying goes....'pink sky at night, sailors delight, pink sky in the morning...sailors take warning'. The boys repeat that each time they see a pink sky!

They call it the terrible two's
It has been a rough couple of weeks deeling with this little guy. Hard to believe when you see him like this:) I have to stop and think about what his little life is like. Being the youngest of 5 with 4 BIG brothers who are always doing BIG boy things, telling him what to do and how to do it. He tries so hard to be the boss. Of course that doesn't go far with mom and dad, yet he still tries. I struggle because during the day I am so occupied with teaching the other boys, he often gets lost in the shuffle. When I saw him sleeping like this today, I had to grab the camera. These years are going by so fast! My baby is so big! ( for all of you who are going to comment something about "well its time for another" - don't bother;)

Fall Party
Today our neighborhood had a Fall Party/Chili Cook off. There was a First Second and Third prize for the best chili. At first, I wasn't even going to cook chili because I didn't think I had anything out of the ordinary but much to my surprise, I won first place! I won this cool dutch oven - which I have been wanting for some time now:) I really could not believe it:)
Girls' night out!
My wonderful hubby suggested a 'girls night out' for me this week and I took him up on it:) Brittany, Amy, Rebecca and I left the 2 husbands, kids and dog we are dog-sitting and went to eat at Chipotle and to the mall for the evening:) We had a blast eating, laughing, heel kicking (don't ask) and shopping of course. We found some great bargains (a top for $3.99!) I am so thankful for the many friends God has brought into my life here.

October is here!
Fall.....One of my favorite times of the year. Here is what is happening around
the Yoder home this season.
Starting to decorate my front porch.
(our record- 7-0:)
" Here we go on a turkey hunt..a turkey hunt..a turkey hunt":) A flock (?) of turkeys roam through our yard every morning. We've picked which one we'll eat on Thanksgiving already:)
Fall decoations all through the house and pumpkin spice candles burning.

A few of my talented cousin Pam's creations.
